Fast-Pak Packaging was established in Tameside in 1992, and over the past 15 years has rapidly expanded and developed. Today, as a multi-million pound business employing around 40 people - nearly all from the local area - the company is a leading independent, privately-owned producer of corrugated cardboard packaging cases and die-cut point-of-sale material, and a significant operation in the manufacturing sector of the Tameside economy.

Five years ago the Company relocated to its present, much larger premises - of around 40,000 sq.ft. just off Lord Sheldon Way in Ashton. The move provided the extra space it urgently needed to achieve a considerable expansion of production capacity in response to demand from customers, who include a growing number of major international organisations with instantly recognised names.

Through a policy of constant re-investment in sophisticated manufacturing technology, and the introduction of an extensive range of high-performance, precision equipment, Fast-Pak is able, now more than ever, to offer a combination of ultra high-speed production and great flexibility of operation. In practical terms, this means that, whether just fifty cases or fifty thousand are required, Fast-Pak is well-placed to provide a rapid, efficient response at keenly competitive prices.

The introduction of all these advances - bringing on stream highly automated machines and more and more computerised design and manufacturing facilities - has enabled Fast-Pak to achieve dramatically greater operating speeds in the production of corrugated packaging across a virtually unlimited range of types and sizes to match customers’ exact specifications. At the same time, major gains have been made in process integration and logistics, further improving production efficiency and enhancing customer service.
