The M60 Invest Steering Group comprises developers active in the Borough, currently including Ask Developments; United Utilities and Watkin Jones, plus representatives from Manchester’s Investment Agency, MIDAS and Marketing Manchester, bringing in updates on the sub regional market plus extra support for potential investors. Together the group promotes Tameside for investment and can quickly ‘network you-in’ to support, contact and information.

The M60 Invest corridor is a regionally significant centre for employment growth, strategically located adjacent to New East Manchester. A high quality business environment which projects a positive image of the region and which will provide opportunities for the whole of the 'Greater East Manchester' community. The area occupies a gateway position on key transport corridors between Merseyside, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire and onwards to the western European port of Rotterdam. It forms an investment corridor around the newly completed M60 which offers rapid access to the national motorway network. It contains Ashton Moss, St Petersfield and Droylsden Marina (The Wharf, Droylsden) , three strategic development sites. It will benefit from improved public transport through completion of the Metrolink network through New East Manchester to Droylsden and then to Ashton-under-Lyne
